Yes its time to talk what we wait all new york to talk about, the Marc Jacobs show, so im not going to panic because marc makes me go a little cray and really this collection is sheer marc genius! So of course as at any Marc Jacobs show there is many stages first stage is, Anticipation. Its the tweeting the wondering the dreaming what will Marc pull out of his fantastic bag of talent this time??? Then its the countdown "omg an hour to Marc jacobs" "OMG MARC IN 5!!!" Then its time anticipation done the show starts you scan the crowd sport the frowers and laugh at the browers you tweet about the major set then at 8 on the dot the lights go down butterflies kick in a boom!!! Really an explosion especially this season 46 pieces crammed into a 5 mins show the models were walking as fast as usain bolt #OlympicWalk then the lights go down and up again the models appear then leave and marc takes his bow to a thunderous applause and then you are left to process the last 5 mins! This is what I processed!
First thought after years of Marcs extravagant collections growing to sheer whimsy and magic such as those infamous fur hats last season, but this was Marc Minimalism I though then the hair beauty and fabulous music it was the swigging 60s. Omg im such a fan of 60s fashion and i was like omg Marc does sixties to major!!! With the image of the sexy 60s girl in my head I could suddenly see marcs vision of this woman but of course there was Marcs Genius that I couldn't figure out because im just meer mortal though I did have a small inkling into the vibe! These are certainly one of the most beautiful loafers available. They are a fab velvet with a beautiful floral embroider. They can make for a very opulent look so wear them with something simple or if your the eccentric just go for it!

So during the resort shows its not a glamorous runway show with celebs and all that its a thing called market week mostly buyers will come and see presentation of clothes and take looks at accessories etc so here is an inside look thanks to marc jacobs intl into the mjs market week looks like fun :D

For resort Marc made a fab opulent collection by infusing vibrant pop art with retro 70s,colorful 80s and deconstructed 90s also he played with shapes and fab silhouettes and it made for a totesfab fun collection which just lifts your sprits and would certainly brighten up any wardrobe!! Marc Jacobs is fashion and is certainly one of my fav designers out there and i love how for resort he makes such a colorful fab very marc collection so easy to wear!!
First lets talk about prints, prints and a little more prints. I think the prints added fun, color and quirk to this collection! There were the fab florals that create a little Marc Jacobs garden right before are eyes, there were many different types of florals in this collection there were the rich florals which completely covered the dress, the amazing sequence florals which were my favorite and also Anna wintors as she wore a orange sequence custom Marc jacobs resort dress to the CFDA awards, finally there were little bouquets in lace and in a vibrant print scattered around the dresses. I found the two silk 70s dresses with the colorful pop art floral color blocked with other vibrant prints really the best looks second to the sequence florals they were so wearable, fun, quirky and really had the whole collection incorporated in them!
The shoes were the simply AMAZING, fabulous funky wedges some even embellished with large jewels!! I simply died for them they were bright colorful, retro, cool, quirky and really quite opulent omg how much times am i going to use the words "bright","colorful","quirky","opulent" etc its like totes repetitve but thats this collection its just so bold and in your face the images just scream these words do you really need me to say anymore, does anyone actually read my show reviews??? if you do comment below!
All of this repetition for such a fab and unique collection is insulting to marc sometimes it just cant come naturally and this is one of these very cringy times but if no ones even reading wats the point promise the rest of my resort reviews will be more witty, fun and  really show off my views about the collection but it is marc how i feel is hard to put into words! But seriously love this collection its cool colorful 21st century girl meets glamourous 70s,quirky marc, fun 80s and a little 90s and as ive said before proportions and shape are played with her like in those wide dresses and fab shorts but really the images speak for themselves its SO MAJOR!!! that blue back drop is prefect it catches the eye just as the amazing clothes do so if you quickly scrolling down through the pages of this blog you will stop at this post ;)
I'll try to be less repetitive and obvious in future post but i really did love my Burberry report it was fun really talk about the clothes and even a little story about that black gown so check that out and just enjoy these images because this report is just a big disaster as my chanel resort one here are links to a good post and to another disastrous one
;DBurberry Resort! Chanel Cruise

Mets most daring?

Picture
Marc Jacobs has spoken about this controversial Met Ball outfit choice a black lace shirt dress paired with white boxer shorts and has revealed that, despite making more of an impact on the red carpet than Beyoncé's sheer gown or even Anja Rubik's thigh-baring split, he didn't do it for the attention.
"It's just a lace dress" Jacobs said on the event's livestream as he arrived on the red carpet. "I just didn't wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring."
And - far from being boring - the spring/summer 2012 Commes des Garcons look also honoured the two heroes of the night, he revealed.
"I think Miuccia Prada is such a celebration of the unconventional and so it felt like, appropriate, somehow. They are two women who I have always loved the work of; I mean Schiaparelli is one of my all-time heroes and Miuccia Prada continues to be a hero of mine. I am looking forward to seeing the exhibition."

Super Model settlement

Picture
Linda Evangelista and Francois-Henri Pinault settled their child support battle, although neither party has revealed the details of the settlement. They  handed details over to a magistrate yesterday in order that the deal can be actioned.
"Everybody's glad for the sake and the benefit of the child that it's done," Pinault's lawyer David Aronson told the New York Postoutside the Manhattan Family Court . "He has gone a long way toward meeting those original demands," a source close to the negotiation said of Pinault, who Evangelista took to court asking for $46,000 (£28,000) a month for son Augustin's upkeep.
Evangelista, who took to the stand on Friday and revealed that her career had slowed in recent years, was due to give evidence for a second time yesterday before the agreement was reached. Pinault and Evangelista are not expected to be in court today as the agreement is confirmed by the judge, and are likely instead to be represented by their lawyers.

Rosie's Dress

Picture
Rosie Hufington Whitley is selling her red Antonio Berardi dress for charity the gown that made her look like a real-life Jessica Rabbit. she is donating the piece which she wore in June last year for the New York premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon for the Tunnel of Love auction, held on May 29, which raises money for the British Heart Foundation.
The sale, which is open to the public, will also feature donations from Alexa Chung; a pair of Mulberry burgundy trousers, bag, shoes and coat worn by the star to a Mulberry dinner during London Fashion Week; art by Damien Hirst and Sir Peter Blake; and a Stephen Webster 18-carat white gold necklace, modelled by Daisy Lowe - who is also the face of the event. All proceeds from the evening will go towards the charity's Mending Broken Hearts appeal, to fund new research.

Barney's saved (new york sighs with relief)

Picture
Barneys has been saved from its debts by financiers Richard C Perry and Ronald W Burkle, who bought the US department store on Monday. Perry's hedge fund firm, Perry Capital, purchased a majority stake, while Burkle's company, Yucaipa Companies, will own a minority stake. Istithmar, the Dubai-based business that bought the store in 2007, will also still hold a stake
"Financially, we've been moving in the right direction," Barneys chief executive Mark Lee told the New York Times. "What we haven't had is a balance sheet that made perfect sense."
The deal prevents the store from having to file for bankruptcy, as it did 1996. In 2007, Istithmar bought the company for £465.45 million, but the chain fell victim to the recession in 2008 and advisors were hired to help keep it afloat. Its new owners will relieve Barneys of debts of $590 million (£366 million).

Karl On Hollande

Picture
Karl Lagerfield has offered his verdict on France's new Socialist President François Hollande or more specifically on his girlfriend, political journalist Valérie Trierweiler.
"As a triumph, it's quite modest," said Lagerfeld, noting that the new French President won 52 per cent of the public vote. "I like girlfriend. I think she's very handsome, very elegant."
Fellow French design luminary Christian Lacroix also opened up about Hollande's appointment.
"I can't hide my relief and happiness. No government helped fashion more than the Socialists at that time [recalling the last Socialist regime of François Mitterrand, who served from 1981 to 1995]" said Lacroix, before criticising Nicolas Sarkozy's rule. "How tragic-comic was the government in 2009 when the couture house fell into French Chapter 11? I am sure they had good intentions, but egos and politics were stronger than workers' future. I do expect a more humanist way of governing: courageous, fair and, above all, creative and innovative, without any fatalism. I do think things can be seen and managed another way."
French couturier Bouchra Jarrar added his thoughts about France's new First Lady.
"As for her style, she makes me think of a heroine in a Claude Chabrol movie," Jarrar told WWD. "She has an air of Marie-France Pisier, which pleases me a lot and could inspire me."
